STEP 3. Draw the shape of the hyena’s body. Add a smooth guideline for its tail.

STEP 4. Use guidelines to define places for the legs, feet and snout.

STEP 5. Sketch the shape of the legs, feet and snout of the spotted hyena.

STEP 6. Draw the shape of the toes, jaws, ears and tail of the spotted hyena.

STEP 7. Add the animal’s nose and eyes. Pay attention to the shape of the legs. Finish with the ears.

STEP 8. Work on the whole figure, paying special attention to detail.

STEP 9. Contour the spotted hyena, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Add more detail and add the ground. Erase all guidelines.
