How to draw a hobbit
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
Mark off the width and height of the hobbit. Add guidelines for his body. Draw his head. Add a line, which will act as the center of his head.

STEP 1. Draw the shape of the hobbit’s body, neck and sticks.
STEP 2. Add guidelines for the hobbit’s arms, legs and head.
STEP 3. Outline the shapes of the arms and legs. Outline the top of the hat.
STEP 4. Draw the feet and clothes of the character. Add the brim to the hat.
STEP 5. Draw the ears, eyes, nose, fingers, toes and general shape of the hair. Add some hair to feet. Detail the clothes and stick.
STEP 6. Work on the figure, paying special attention to detail.
STEP 7. Contour the hobbit, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Add more detail and add the ground. Erase all guidelines.
